Wireshark is a free network protocol
analyzer for Unix and Windows. It allows to examine data from a live network or
from a capture file on disk. You can interactively browse the capture data,
viewing summary and detail information for each packet. Wireshark has several
powerful features, including a rich display filter language and the ability to
view the reconstructed stream of a TCP session.
We use
Wireshark mainly for decoding and analyzing low and high level LAN protocols.
Its ability to monitor specific high level protocols used in call centre and
CTI installations sets a mark even for commercial products. Examples include
CORBA based protocols used by Avaya Interaction Center and certain Web
protocols.
For more
information on Wireshark please refer to

Please note, that Wireshark can not be provided by but we offer to include
it in our trainings related to LAN and WAN protocols.
